- Brandy Lake takes its name from the dark amber colour of its water, from tannins and humic acids leaching out of surrounding wetlands. At 116 hectares with a maximum depth of 7.5 m, it is a small community lake where the 400-member Association hosts annual flotilla parades and regattas.

Brandy Lake covers 116 hectares with a mean depth of just 3.5 m and a maximum depth of 7.5 m, warm, calm water suited to paddling and small powerboats. Secchi clarity reads 1.3 m, reflecting the dark tannin-stained character. Fish species include largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, walleye, northern pike, black crappie, and burbot. There is 0% Crown land remaining on the shoreline, so the lake is entirely residential. A single public boat launch on Brackenrig Road provides the only outside access point, which keeps day-visitor traffic low year-round.
